Agriana Sp. z o.o. is the Polish subsidiary of Meijer Potato, a privately owned global breeder and producer of the seed potatoes with headquarter in the Netherlands. Meijer Potato breeds and markets potato varieties for three segments: table potatoes, crisping potatoes, and French fry potatoes. The company develops new breeds based on expected market needs. Its gene pool offers a wealth of traits that are valuable for today's and tomorrow's needs. Its varieties are sold in over 60 countries.
Agriana started its seed potatoes business in 2014 in the north of Poland; finding, producing and introducing the most appropriate Meijer Potato varieties that are suitable for the Polish climate. The company works closely with customers in the potato processing and table potato market to optimize their profitability. To further develop partnerships with factories and individual farmers in South-East Poland, supporting them with agronomical expertise and helping them to develop the varieties on their farms, we are looking for a Technical Sales & Product Manager – Seed Potatoes.
Stanowisko
Be responsible for commercial support and development of existing and new seed potato varieties in South-East Poland
- Visit and build relations with customers in your region and support & advise them in all aspects of the potato growing season (incl. planning of the seed potato deliveries, seed rate, recommendations and visits during storage period).
- Product management and development for the French Fry, Crisping and Table potato varieties in your region (towards the processing industry and individual table potato growers).
- Ensure professional complaint handling and customer care in case of issues, according to the Agriana procedures.
- Achieve the sales plan, be effective in your time and work planning (with weekly schedule), report results and update sales and potential sales to the Sales Manager.
- Adhere to the vision and mission of the Meijer Potato companies and provide good agricultural practice in terms of potato agronomy and production techniques.
- Monitor the Polish market and competitors (growers and breeders), identify and develop the company's unique selling points to acquire new customers.
- Prepare and present technical presentations to growers and customers/potato processing factories.
- Attend seminars and trainings to develop your knowledge of potato production.
- Closely cooperate with the sales team and the production manager, assist in planning sales activities, national field/harvest trials, communicate trends and needs, and development of different potatoes varieties.
- You report to the Sales & Operations Manager and to the CEO.
Profil
Commercially minded agricultural enthusiast with developed agronomical knowledge
Requirements
- Higher degree in Agriculture, Agronomy or Agribusiness.
- Min. 3 years of experience in sales or agronomy advise. Knowledge of the potato sector and agronomy is definitely an asset.
- Native Polish, communicative English.
- MS office – excellent Excel knowledge.
- Driving license and willingness to frequent travels by car.
